Going into the 2008 season...

In the 2008 season I will be racing in the MRO Stocksport 600 class, riding a race prepared Yamaha YZF-R6.

The MRO Stocksport 600 class is one of the most highly respected series of races in the country, as such attracting the elite of Britain's top privateer racers, taking in all of the truly legendary race tracks – including Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Silverstone, Donnington Park, Snetterton and Olton Park to name only a few; alongside a European round in Croix en Ternois, France. This is a massive step in so many ways in terms of bike, budget, standard of competition and professionalism.

This will be my second year of racing and I don’t want to get stuck in the rut of club racing as I want to better myself and my team’s profile, so I have taken a massive step up to the MRO series, which is well known as a stepping stone for the highly prestigious British Super bikes. I personally think I have the talent and the drive and also the team backing to do well at such a high level. I am highly driven and take my racing exceptionally seriously as so many people have invested so much time, effort and money to help me get to this level. For that, I hold the up most respect for them all, and I am not about to go out and let not only myself down, but also my team

I am at the beginning of a two year plan, the team, and sponsors and also myself have sat down on many occasions and have come up with a realistic goal. This is due to the massive step we have decided to execute this goal over a period of two years. In the 2008 season we will be on a new machine which we have limited data for and limited time testing and setting up before the season starts. So, during the 2008 season we will collect data from the bike and myself from each circuit and set the bike accordingly. We are going to go out there and give the season 110% and we will strive and be fully committed to improving the bike and set up to achieve a top 5 finish overall given the massive step for myself and the new machinery. In the 2009 season we hope to find ourselves fighting for the championship title.
